Is there Magic in Thinking Big [Book Review]

When I first picked up the book, I was simply mesmerised by the words - magic and thinking big - I believe in both.

As a child the word 'magic' has always been special to me. It symbolises hope, surprise, special and something beyond the norm. As an adult 'thinking big' can sometimes feel scary, fearful and perhaps exciting.

I was surprised to find this book was published in 1959, almost 63 years ago. The concepts are simple, straightforward and easily relatable as David J. Schwartz used a lot of real life encounters to showcase his teachings.

The magic here doesn't lie in just thinking without actions but instead it calls you to think first so that actions will follow. If we don't know WHAT we are thinking, we cannot change anything. Similarly if we don't know where to go, we will be going around in circles.

I love it when the author poses questions and challenges me to think in-depth of my current situation versus what is possible out there. More importantly David encourages the reader to learn to think creatively instead of habitually.

I couldn't quite put the book down and was fascinated with how relatable his teachings are. There are plenty of good tips and practical hands on experience that done consistently overtime, the magic might just come...
