Do UGLY
We live in an information overload world. We are constantly getting fed with endless advise regardless of whether we asked for them or not. Although sometimes all it takes is just ONE idea and the lightbulb within us will light up. That idea sticks with us for a long time, like a broken recorder playing on a repeat mode.
"Just do a ugly one." was one of the best advise I have ever received during one Mysore practice. The teacher's words glued into my memory and I used it often with other students as well.
"Don't worry about how it looks, just do a ugly one." The idea is to forgo how the pose will (have to) look like and focus on what needs to be done. It releases the need to be "right" or "perfect" and just do the work. Move along. You might not get it today but you will certainly get it one day. But to get from where you are now to where you want to be, you got to be willing to do ugly (first).
