What's Your Next Level?
Watching U2 live last night was one of the most incredible experiences I have ever had. I must admit I am not a fan but I know they are insanely talented and a legendary group. I wouldn't miss the opportunity to see them perform live. It took them 42 years to perform here and they sure don't disappoint.
I also learned a very important and valuable lesson from watching their concert. 42 years is a long time to become a master of any craft. In the music industry it is very rare to be able to stay on top for so long and be so good. The crowd was a true testament of their status and hardwork.
Unlike other concerts that I had been, the setup was simple - pure display of their craft, nothing else. No fancy costumes, stage dancers or fancy props, it was a showcase of what they have been 'practicing' for the last 42 years.
The experience made me question myself. What am I willing to do to take my life to the next level? What effort am I willing to invest in to make myself better? What must happen on a daily basis to improve my 'craft' and become a master? How can I 'beat' myself at every (new) level and become a improved version each time? What must I commit to relentlessly? Am I interested or am I committed?
